Gerber Moving and Storage is a family-owned business that takes pride. We have served the Kansas City region since the 1920s. Actually, we now have clients who have used us. We’ve even helped multiple times move from home to home! At Gerber, that is in moving the ultimate compliment. It reveals the assurance that our customers have in us.
The greater Kansas City Metro area is served by Gerber, plus our main office is in Bonner Springs, Kansas, only five minutes from the I-435 highway that circles the city.
Requests were continually taken by him for use of his truck to move various items for them from his customers. As these requests came more and much more frequent, he began charging a tiny fee because of his truck and his own time. Before long Arthur was out of the supermarket company and into the business that is moving.
He was a very conscientious man who believed in treating people fairly.
Arthur Gerber began Gerber Moving and Storage as a response to community needs. In the 1950s, the business was passed by him to his son Arnold Gerber. Under his direction, the business boomed in the delivery service area, where their major account was Southwestern Bell Telephone as well as the local moving market.
Now, Arnold’s sons Ron and Bill Gerber and grandson Mike Gerber oversee the family business that Arnold and Arthur worked hard to construct.
