Bailey's Moving & Storage
Using his garage began Bailey’s Moving & Storage in Orem, Utah with their very first truck, the pickup truck of Cliff. They had become affiliated with Allied Van Lines and usually performed local moving with some distribution but from the conclusion of 1950’s they’d moved their warehouse operation to big warehouse in Orem, Utah. In 1963, Storage and Bailey’s Moving enlarged to Salt Lake City, having a warehouse place in North Salt Lake, Utah. It was that North Salt Lake was determined to be corporate headquarters.
Allied Van Lines Warberg Moving and Storage in Twin Falls was bought in 1975 and afterwards sold to the worker Elmo Muir of Bailey in 1977; this business was shut to start a startup facility. San Diego was afterwards sold out of Los Angeles in 1980 to Dollar Moving and Storage. This business was sold to create cash to create the present North Salt Lake warehouses in 1980. Having been successful and having a big pool of worker talent, Bailey’s enlarged to Denver, Colorado in 1989 and after that summer we bought All Systems/Merritt Allied in Denver and Colorado Springs, taking the warehouse and office space. We started an office in the area in 1992 together with the purchase in Boulder, Colorado – a Mayflower agent – of Buehler Moving & Storage. We expanded further together with the acquisition in Colorado Berkeley Moving & Storage Colorado, in Denver and Grand Junction, giving subsequently ten places to Bailey’s Moving and Storage.
Change was arriving, although there were thirteen workers owning stock in Bailey’s Going. In 1995 Bailey’s sold their St. George business to a former associate. In 2001, how many owners was reduced to four as soon as they bought the interest of the owner that was fifth. To its Englewood, Colorado place Bailey’s merged their Berkeley warehouse in the first quarter of 2002. Ultimately, to it’s present standing of three, the possession was further reduced in 2007.
Bailey’s Going now employs around 400 people, with around 600 workers in summer time summit. We’re among the biggest moving and storage firms in the Rocky Mountain States.
